For those wanting to attend the race, there are several ways to travel to the track. Since only residents enter Zandvoort by car and because of the crowds in Zandvoort and the surrounding area, it is strongly recommended to use public transport or the bicycle to come. Many trains run to Zandvoort aan Zee station, which is a half-hour walk from the circuit. Near the circuit there are two bicycle sheds and a supervised moped shed. You can book a spot in advance for a guaranteed safe spot, so be quick!
Since 1952, the Dutch Grand Prix has been held on Circuit Zandvoort. This event has had highlights with winners such as Jim Clark and Niki Lauda. The 1970s also saw tragic accidents, such as the fatal crashes of Piers Courage and Roger Williamson. The Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort will be on the Formula 1 calendar until at least the end of 2024. The organization initially signed a three-year contract, with an option to extend for another two seasons. In December 2022 it was announced that the deal had indeed been extended.
