PARNASIA BY THE SEA: LOVELY (WORK)PLACE BY THE SEA In 2018, Parnassia celebrated its 60th anniversary. Time for a complete metamorphosis, thought the new owner, Michael Kras from Zandvoort. This season is the first time it will run according to the new concept. The interior in particular has been thoroughly renovated. It has not only become a wonderful place for a coffee, lunch, drink or dinner, but also to work, or for a meeting or event.
NATURE, NATURE, NATURE
Parnassia is located on top of a dune, in the middle of the Kennemerduinen, away from the hustle and bustle of Bloemenaal aan Zee. This gives you a beautiful view on all sides (even from the toilets). Over the sea, the beach, the dunes and the air, which are always different. The pavilion breathes nature! Inside, a lot of work has been done with wood and plants. The natural plant wall (they are real!) reinforces this feeling. There are also two lovely wood-burning stoves, so you can sit here comfortably on cooler days. The large terrace has also become very beautiful and a bit cozier thanks to the seating areas and shaded areas.
THE JEEP
The eye-catcher in the interior is the Jeep! This is prominent and cool in the pavilion and really gives it a beachy look. Children love it because you can climb in it! Enter at your own risk... It is certainly a nice place to go with children, because the terrace recently also has a playground - a real yellow submarine. The food is also delicious there. For example, Eggs Florentine (or Benedict) for breakfast, Parnassia (Vega) Burger for lunch, Vega curry, Pumpkin sweet potato soup, Pasta clams, Fish & Chips or Dune potatoes for dinner. We work with organic and seasonal products as much as possible.
WORKING AT THE SEA
There are several nice places where you can sit and work or read in peace. This is often used. Nice workplace by the sea at beautiful long reading tables, where you can of course also sit comfortably with your whole family.
EVENTS & MEETINGS
Parnassia aan Zee has also thoroughly renovated the event spaces, making it very suitable for the business market. There are four beautiful rooms, all of which overlook the beach, the dunes or the sea. Here too, lots of greenery, wood and plants. There are rooms for small groups, but also a theater room for 200 people! That's really special, right on the beach. Here you can really organize an event by the sea at a high level. Or get married of course!
OPEN YEAR ROUND
Parnassia aan Zee has managed to retain its identity from the past. As they say themselves: 'it is an extension of the environment where it is located: timeless, simple and with the character that this place deserves'. And the best part is, they are open all year round! Nice place to go and combine it with a dune or beach walk!
