In fact, you can make your children very happy just by going to the beach. But there are also a few very beautiful (natural) playgrounds in and around Zandvoort. Below is an overview. 

PLAYGROUND BEACHEDDelicious playground in the middle of the dunes at restaurant Stranded at Camping De Lakens. Even if you are not at the campsite, you can still go here. Sliding down the super high slide, climbing the observation tower, ziplining from the cable car, climbing a pirate ship, or just swinging and playing with water. Really one nice playground for children of all ages. At restaurant Gestrand you can get a coffee or have lunch, drinks and dinner. PLAYGROUND NATIONAL PARK SOUTH-KENNEMERLANDAt the visitor center of the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park you will find this beautiful nature playground with climbing huts, water pumps and two wooden bison (a type of bison), inspired by the real ones that walk around in the park. At the Dune cafe get a coffee or eat a pancake. There is also the park itself lots to do with children. You can enjoy cycling and walking, spot bison, swim in 't Wed and all kinds of activities are organized (exhibitions, excursions and treasure hunts).

PLAYGROUND TAP LEAKKraantje Lek is a special and historic place in the dunes between Zandvoort and Haarlem. At the foot of a high dune (fun for kids to run from) near a hollow tree (fun to hide in), a beautiful old house, delicious food (including pancakes) and a super fun playground. From Zandvoort you cycle there via the Visserspad to. Zandvoort fishermen's wives walked this path with their husbands' fish catch to sell on the market in Haarlem. On the way they took a break at Kraantje Lek.

PLAY SANDTIf you come from the South Boulevard through the dunes towards Noordwijk If you cycle, you will arrive at this dune playground after 20 minutes Langevelder battle (also accessible by car). This playground is beautifully located on the dunes. Fun play elements for big and small children. You can do it yourself from the terrace of Strandplaats Nederzandt that is directly adjacent to it, keep an eye on things. There is also a Pancake Castle, but you can also get fresh fries or pizza if you walk towards the sea.

WILD BEAST PATH

In Zandvoort-Noord at the Van Pageepad (towards the hockey and football fields) you will find the Wildebeestenpad. Standing here

various posts with images of animals on them, with a QR code for fun facts about the animal. It is a nice short walk through a beautiful piece of dune area and ends at a playground. The animals were made by artist William Lord from recycled wooden posts from old playground equipment. Spaarnelanden made the animals to size, painted them and placed them back in nature. The Municipality of Zandvoort and Team Sportservice Zandvoort were also involved.

The Zandvoort Skate Park is located near the Visserspad, on the corner of Tollensstraat and Van Lennepweg, along the track. A super fun skate park for stunt scooters and skateboards.

At Beach Pavilion Thalassa (and in the summer at Thalassa Bodega) you will find a playground on the beach. Enjoy climbing, scrambling and going down the slide. The playground is open all year round.

At P-Zuid on the Ing. G. Friedhoffplein you will find a football and basketball field. A lovely place in the dunes, near the sea.

PLAYGROUND ROOMPOT ZANDVOORT At Roompot Zandvoort you will find a nice playground with a deer slide, a water pump and a large swing. In principle intended for guests staying in the park, but you are also welcome if you are not staying there. The Center Parcs Zandvoort park also has a nice playground and a climbing forest/bird's nest. Many Zandvoort residents with small children who live in the area know where to find this playground.

TRAMPOLINE PARK BLOMENDAAL BY THE SEAThis old-school play paradise started fifty years ago with a few trampolines and a horizontal bar. There are now several trampolines, equal bars, rings and a horizontal bar. Big, small, young, old, professional, amateur, everyone can get on the trampoline here and jump until sunset! Only open during beach season.
