Zandvoort is cozy around Christmas time. Several beach bars are open all winter long and make it cozy with fire pits, hot chocolate and mulled wine. There is an ice skating rink in the village, an oliebollen stall on the Raadhuisplein and the traditional New Year's dive on New Year's Day.
CHRISTMAS MARKETS
On November 26 finds the Winter fair place in Zandvoort. A market with about 80 stalls on the Grote Krocht, Raadhuisplein, Kleine Krocht and the Gasthuisplein. In addition to winter products, you will also find hot drinks and tasty snacks here. The Christmas market in Haarlem is of December 8 to 10 with more than 350 stalls. Renato's in Bloemendaal aan Zee organizes on December 9 & 10, 16 & 17 and 23 & 24 Also a nice Christmas market: with food stalls, winter terrace in a Christmas atmosphere, music and fun.
CHRISTMAS ATMOSPHERE AT THE BEACH TENTS
The beach pavilions that are open all winter make it extra cozy at Christmas with fire pits, hot chocolate and mulled wine at the outdoor bar. Children can warm up marshmallows in the fires. Most also have a special one around Christmas Christmas menu or Christmas brunch.
ICE RINK ON THE COUNCIL SQUARE
The best Christmas holiday activity for the kids in Zandvoort and the region, it ice rink on the Raadhuisplein for Noble Tree Cafe. A cozy place where everyone comes together for a hot chocolate or mulled wine.
FAIRY TALE WALK
Saturday December 16 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM there is a fairytale walk around the Kerkplein in Zandvoort. There is Santa Claus and many fairytale characters. There is a puppet show in the church. Children can also come dressed up. With an entrance ticket of €5 (available at Bruna or on the day at the ticket office on Kerkplein) you can participate in the fox hunt.

SPOTTING DEER IN THE DUNES
In the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes you will definitely see deer, often at the entrance. If you go deeper into the dunes you might also see a fox. You can here several long and short walks that are also fun for children. For example, the Bunker walk. Take the entrance on Zandvoortselaan. You can also have a coffee or a hot chocolate here Dune on the Dune Edge.
WALKING THROUGH THE DUNESIn South Kennemerland National Park (entrance on the Zeeweg in Overveen) you can also take beautiful walks, yourself or under supervision. At the Dune cafe you can eat pancakes or drink something warm. There is also a beautiful one nature playground. In previous years, a Christmas market was also organized here.
BEACH WALK
Take a nice long walk on the beach towards Noordvoort. A beautiful and peaceful nature reserve between Zandvoor and Noordwijk. There are poles in the water here, but there is also a path in the foredune.

Are you looking for some beautiful Christmas branches, decorations or gifts? Then take a look at florist Hanneke Voit. She sells the most beautiful things in this old fisherman's house. NEW YEAR'S DIVE
Traditionally, the New Year's Dive takes place on January 1. You can join the 'organized' version in Zandvoort (near BadhuispleinStrandafgang 10 - party starts at 12 noon with a DJ, 1:45 pm warm-up and 2:00 pm dive) or Bloemendaal (near San Blas), or initiate one yourself with friends or family.
