BODHI BEACH: NEW BEACH TENT ON THE SOUTH BEACH Bodhi Beach is a nice new beach bar on the South Beach of Zandvoort and has taken over the old - nice - spot of Ajuma. You can only get here on foot and that means you are really away from the world. Must-go this summer!

RELAXED PLACE

At the end of the boulevard you walk onto the beach. You leave Zandvoort behind you. You arrive at a beautiful wide beach with high dunes. You might spot a seal in the water. And then you see Bodhi Beach. A nice, fresh, small-scale and relaxed place, where nothing is necessary. A place that feels un-Dutch. The owners - from Haarlem - lived in Panama for 12 years and had a hotel there. At this beautiful spot on the South Beach they have now found their own piece of abroad, which reminds them of their time in Panama.

TROPICAL SCANDINAVIAN

You plop down on a beach bed, on the terrace or in one of the lovely hammocks. You feel like you are somewhere far away on a tropical or Spanish island (or in Panama). It feels like a mini vacation!! Inside it is beautifully decorated in a beachy, somewhat tropical Scandinavian style. Even in bad weather (after a walk on the beach or a walk through the Waterleidingduinen) you are in the right place. There is a nice wood stove to warm you up.

DELICIOUS BEACH FOOD

Bodhi Beach is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owner cooks herself and it's super tasty! From Italian to Asian, all freshly made and many organic and vegetarian. Delicious fresh spring rolls (vegetarian or with chicken), Thai salad with king prawns, avocado and coriander, Melanzane alla parmigiana, but also snacks such as sweet potato fries with alioli or the vegetarian bitterballen from Ajuma. The menu includes special dishes for the little ones, such as pita bread ham/cheese, poffertjes or pasta napolitana. Children have a great time here. There is a small trampoline outside and a whole box of games inside.

NUDIST BEACH

Bodhi Beach is located on the nudist beach, but that doesn't mean you have to take off your clothes. On the terrace it is simply 'clothed', on the beds on the beach you are allowed to be naked, but you can also just keep your bikini on.

HOW DO YOU GET THERE?

It is most convenient to park your bicycle or car at the very end of the boulevard (near Havana). From there you can walk across the beach to Bodhi Beach (recognizable by the palm trees) in 10 minutes. From the station it is about 20 minutes.
