RESTAURANT BEACHED OPEN ALL WINTER
This winter continues Restaurant Stranded at Camping De Lakens open again on weekends with 'De Warme Winterweekenden'. Such a nice place in the dunes to go with family, friends and kids, even in winter. The fireplace is burning and children can play in the playground (there is also an indoor playground). The restaurant is open every weekend from early November to the end of February from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for coffee, lunch or drinks. From the restaurant you can walk across the dune to the beach or towards the Vogelmeer in the Kennemerduinen. Parking is free.
CAMPING DE LAKENS
Restaurant Gestrand has been located at Camping de Lakens for a few years now, in the middle of the dunes and close to the sea. This wonderful place is quite busy in the summer months. With camping guests, but also people from the region who know where to find Stranded. The campsite is closed during the winter months, but Gestrand remains open at weekends.
It is a nice place to meet up with other families or relatives. You can have a delicious lunch and drinks here and the kids can play in the playground. From the restaurant you can also easily walk to the sea or into the dunes. A perfect stop during a winter walk.
THE PLAYGROUND (also indoors!)
The fantastic nature playground is fun for children of all ages and is beautifully located in the dunes. The little ones can enjoy playing with water and sand, older children can climb on the pirate ship and even older children can go on the meter-high slide or the cable car. It is quite private, so children just stay neatly in the playground and you also have a good view of them from the restaurant.
The nice thing is that there is also an indoor playground under the restaurant that is open when the weather is bad. Kids can also enjoy climbing and clambering here. And they can walk back into the restaurant again.
OPEN ALL WINTER 
The good news is that Gestrand will now remain open all winter - from early November to early March! Because you can also sit here on the terrace with the winter sun. Or you take a rug to the playground. When the weather is bad, you can sit by the fireplace and warm up with a hot chocolate or mulled wine.
COFFEE, LUNCH & DRINKS 
Stranded is a nice place to have a drink with friends and family, especially if you have kids along. On the menu you will find delicious sandwiches, sandwiches, salad & soup, toasted sandwiches and delicious snacks, such as break bread with dips, loaded Mexiacan Nachos or the Stranded plank for 2 people. For the kids there is a Zeppie Meal with a children's menu and a nice surprise, poffertjes or a tasty sandwich.
VIEWING SUNDAYS
Special Viewing Sundays will take place at Camping De Lakens on January 7, February 4 and March 3, 2024. You can then come and have a look at the campsite and reserve a nice spot for your holiday. During these days, Restaurant Gestrand is also open as usual and additional (children's) activities are organised.
